529 account holders have saved $13,475 on average in their 529 plans giving their beneficiaries a solid foundation to pay for college, according to a study conducted by Rockbridge Associates on behalf of study sponsor Ascensus College Savings, the nation’s largest administrator of 529 plans. Parents, grandparents and others saving for a child’s education find 529 plans to be a convenient and affordable way to save for college.
